Opera in the Schools

Opera in the Schools
Expands to Two Districts!

We’re thrilled to kick off the new school year with an expanded footprint ~ Opera in the Schools will now serve students in two school districts!

  • From September 22 through October 3, our Opera Power outreach assemblies will engage students across Palm Springs Unified School District.
  • Then, from November 10 through 21, our professional troupe will bring a fresh, imaginative rendition of Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel to Desert Sands Unified School District.

This dynamic, two-week program reaches 20,000+ students in grades K–12 annually. Through our 35-minute interactive assemblies, students explore classical music vocabulary, operatic languages, and the enduring influence of opera on today’s musical landscape.

We’re excited to inspire young minds and share the magic of opera with even more students this season!
