Opera in the Schools is a two-week program that impacts more than 25,000 kids in grades K-12. Students participate in our 35 minute, interactive, light-hearted outreach assemblies each May. Students learn classical music terms, vocabulary, about the different languages that opera incorporates, and how opera impacts the world of music today!

2019 marked Palm Springs Opera Guild’s first time in the history of our program to be in TWO school districts. In addition to Palm Springs Unified, we expanded to Desert Sands Unified School District and added an additional 10,000 student participants. Each year, the Palm Spring Opera Guild strives to expand our program by reaching more and more kids with the goal to make a difference.
