The Palm Springs Opera Guild is fortunate to have dedicated benefactors supporting its mission, including many who have chosen to secure its future through gifts at their death. These generous visionaries have turned their compassion into action.

To express our appreciation for this committed group of donors who have remembered the PSOG in their estate plan, we have established the LEGACY SOCIETY. Members of this special group share the common bond of philanthropy and vision to provide for the future needs of the organization.

Membership

Membership in the Legacy Society is made up of individuals who have committed to make a gift to the PSOG at their death. The gifts may take a variety of forms which include:

  • A gift in a revocable trust or a will of cash, stocks, bonds, business interests, real property, personal property, or other property interests
  • Naming the PSOG as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or of a life insurance policy
  • The gifts may be made to the PSOG’s Endowment Fund, Operating Fund, or restricted to various activities of the PSOG, such as Opera in the Park, Opera in the Schools, OPERAtunity, or the annual Vocal Competition.
  • One may modify a death gift to PSOG at any time as one’s circumstances change.
Benefits

Legacy Society members are a special group of PSOG supporters who receive a variety of benefits:

  • Recognition in programs provided at various PSOG events
  • Name(s) recognition listed on the website
  • Invitations to social events solely for Legacy Society members
  • Since the PSOG is a tax-exempt corporation under 501(C)(3), members may qualify for income or estate tax benefits

From Opera in the Schools, which introduces students to the wonders of opera, to Opera in the Park, a beloved community event, we make opera accessible to everyone. Our Annual Vocal Competition showcases rising talent, while lectures and workshops provide deeper insight into music, history, and production. Zarzuela celebrates the richness of Spanish musical theater, expanding cultural appreciation.
